Hummingbirds!

On a happier note than my 9/11 post, we've added a new "creature feature" to the front flower bed. I recently read a FaceBook post from Texas Parks & Wildlife discussing the impact of the drought on wildlife and requesting that folks across the state put out hummingbird feeders to help the little guys along their journey during September and October.

I picked one up in Galveston last weekend and it didn't take long to attract this little green hummer ...



Needless to say, the boys are THRILLED to have another type of creature to watch out the window while I work.
