Our Ike

Our little Ikey has had many ups and downs and lately he's been having a rough time. With his compromised immune system, anything could push him over the edge and we've been fighting a persistent upper respiratory infection for several weeks - an antibiotic shot, followed two weeks later by a Z-pack seems to have knocked it out, but the boy is slowing down.

The decision to stay or go is his - and the Good Lord's - but we are preparing for the worse, while hoping for the best. He has surprised us before and overcome insurmountable odds and his blood work isn't as bad as it's been at times in the past. That said, his appetite is diminished after this last round of bug killing drugs and that's never a good sign.
